It's July 10, 2026. “the idk song” my debut single as an artist officially is out now. I can't believe it. I held on for this for an entire year thinking it was a disaster song after finishing of recording it last year July of 2025 with tons of vocal layers on top of the first ever beat that I made back in January of 2024. This was intended to be a tester single with no connection and meaningful traits to my journey as Soullanet Pluto. May 2026 really changed the trajectory of my life in a bad way through many unfortunate events that occured since February of 2026 that led me to revisiting this and actually putting effort, care and love to this. I wrote the lyrics out of laziness and with no true intention until I realized that I had actually made something so meaningful and special to me. I was satisfied with the version that I recorded last year that all I had to do is add a handful of adlibs and sound effects as I finalized of it all in June 2026. I just can't think of ways of improving it. Even though it could've been better production wise. I felt contented on the official released version and I have learned of finding appreciation for it.
The meaning of this song for me is about not knowing anything at all as we face our own darkness and problems. Where do we start? How do we actually begin of solving it? Where do we get the answers that we're desperately seeking for in these trying difficult times of our lives? What is the solution to the questions that we're trying to find an answer to for ages now? This song hits home because ever since I turned 18 back in 2016. Going into 2017 and currently to this day in 2026 is where my life started going downhill because I've tried to seek answers all these years. I've hoped and failed not knowing where to ever begin. I knew being an artist and a songwriter at 20 has always been my dream of mine. I ran away from it because it's not attainable to my living condition. As of today, here we are for my first ever song release. Even though I'm still very much sturggling in every aspect of my life. I am certain with this path after 9 years of wondering where to start and begin. I discovered some answers to my questions, but there are still a lot of questions that has remained unanswered which I hope I will someday know in the future.
I am glad and honored to have this song as my debut song as I officially introduced and put out myself publicly to the world with my own long-awaited artistic expression that I've been dying to unleash since 2019 at 20 years old along with being 23 back in 2022 ever since the birth of being Soullanet Pluto privately. Now that I am 27 going to 28 soon. I'm glad that I finally did it even if it didn't stem from a positive aspect of my life. To my younger self from childhood to being a teenager to being a young adult. Our secret love and insecurity for singing have finally paid off. This for all of you. It might not have been the most polished and perfect sounding first song, but I'm glad that my 27-year-old me didn't give up on this doubtful song and dream that we have always loved and suppressed since the beginning of falling in love to this dream of ours of singing and being an artist one day. This has been The Idk Song
